CAN Commends President Tinubu’s Inclusive Approach to Governance

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his “great sense of inclusiveness,” praising the manner in which he has approached appointments since assuming office. CAN National President, Most Revd Daniel Okoh, shared this sentiment with State House correspondents after a meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

Rev. Okoh expressed the Christian body’s observation that President Tinubu’s inclusive approach to appointments has enhanced the confidence of Nigerians in his administration. He commended the President for being sensitive to the challenges facing the nation and for taking positive steps since the beginning of his tenure.

The CAN leader advised President Tinubu to maintain this path of inclusion, emphasizing that the President’s pronouncements and body language have instilled a sense of belonging among Nigerians. Rev. Okoh acknowledged the challenges the country faces and urged Nigerians to be patient, noting that the efforts to address these challenges will take time.

He highlighted the importance of President Tinubu’s intentional steps to reverse unfavorable trends, particularly in governance. Rev. Okoh expressed confidence that if given the opportunity, President Tinubu would do more to positively impact the country.

In conclusion, CAN pledged to continue praying for the President, asking for divine strength to enable him to navigate the challenges and turn around the fortunes of the nation. The Christian body reiterated its belief that Nigeria now has a “listening President” and encouraged President Tinubu to persist in his inclusive and intentional approach to governance.
