The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) is poised to distribute a revenue allocation of N1.959 trillion to the federal, state, and local governments from the Federation Account for the month of July.
The FAAC will convene in Abuja to determine the allocation of this revenue based on the respective revenue sharing percentages for each level of government.
In response to the upcoming allocation, a former Special Assistant on Digital Communications to former President Muhammadu Buhari highlighted the need for increased focus on the states, emphasizing the importance of holding governors accountable.
As the FAAC meeting approaches, stakeholders will closely monitor the allocation decisions that will shape the distribution of funds among the federal, state, and local government entities in the country.

“The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) to share N1.959 trillion revenue in July, probably the highest ever according to TheCable. The FAAC will meet today in Abuja to allocate the revenue to the tiers of government, federal, state, and local, based on the sharing metrics. Time to shift more focus on our states. “Governors should be held accountable too.”
