The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Thursday, November 6, 2025, as the official date for the Passing-Out Ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 corps members, marking the completion of their one-year mandatory national service.
In a statement issued on Monday, the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, said the event would be low-key as approved by the management.
The service year for this batch began with the orientation course held from October 23 to November 12, 2024, across all 37 orientation camps in Nigeria.
Activities Ahead of the Ceremony
According to the statement, activities leading up to the passing-out event will begin with job advisory and counselling sessions for corps members at the local government level nationwide.
The programme will also involve the signing and issuance of final clearance letters by Zonal Inspectors to the outgoing corps members an essential step before collecting their discharge certificates.
“The Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wishes all the corps members and the monitoring officers on assignment a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise,” the statement added.
A Year of Service and Contribution
The 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 corps members underwent a three-week orientation course that featured paramilitary drills, leadership training, entrepreneurship development under the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, and community integration exercises.
Following the orientation, the corps members were deployed to their various Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) across critical sectors including education, health, agriculture, and community development.
The NYSC scheme, established in 1973, remains a key national youth programme aimed at promoting unity, national integration, and community development.
