Tinubu to Inaugurate New Federal Executive Council on Monday

In a move aimed at swiftly setting the wheels of governance in motion, President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to officiate the inauguration of the newly appointed Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Monday. The inauguration, set to take place at the State House in Abuja, signifies the commencement of duties for the freshly appointed ministers.

In readiness for the inauguration event, the newly appointed ministers have initiated preparations as directed. They have been duly informed to provide essential documents, including their curriculum vitae, birth certificate or declaration of age, and two passport photographs, among other requisites, to facilitate the clearance process.

According to a statement released by Nnamdi Mbaeri, the Permanent Secretary of General Services at the Office of the Secretary to the Federation, the inauguration process will conclude on Sunday, August 20.

During the inauguration ceremony, President Tinubu will administer the oath of office and the oath of allegiance to the ministers, marking the official commencement of their roles within the Federal Executive Council.

Mbaeri, in a notice, indicated: “Ministers-designate are to please note that their documentation will take place at the Conference Room, General Services Office, Second Floor, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday 20.

“The ministers are expected to be sworn in by President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.”

In compliance with the provided instructions, the ministers-designate are expected to undergo their documentation process at the Conference Room of the General Services Office, located on the second floor of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. This documentation phase will take place on Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20, from 10 am to 4 pm. Subsequently, the ministers will be sworn in by President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
