Two Federal Polytechnic Students Die in Ondo Road Crash

Two students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, tragically lost their lives in a fatal accident along the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening. The victims, identified as Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, were riding on a motorcycle when they were struck by a speeding vehicle, killing them instantly.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council, Ondo State Chapter, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Thursday. The statement, signed by the association’s chairman, Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua, General Secretary, Oluwanishola Ajibola, and Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Blessing, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic event.

“This loss is a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community,” the statement read. “The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life. These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.”

The accident has left the student community in mourning, with calls for improved road safety measures along the busy Akure-Ondo Expressway to prevent future tragedies.
