In response to allegations made by Stella Okafor, the wife of actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, Daniel Okafor, the actor’s second son, has refuted claims that Jasmine, Mr. Ibu’s adopted child, took control of the actor’s bank account. Stella had accused Jasmine of secretly controlling the account where donations for Mr. Ibu’s medical expenses were deposited.
Contacted by PUNCH Online, Jasmine declined to comment on the online drama, expressing a primary concern for her father’s well-being. She redirected the inquiry to Mr. Ibu’s son, Daniel Okafor.
In a statement, Daniel clarified, “My name is Daniel Okafor, and I am John Okafor’s second son. There is no truth in what Stella Maris has been sharing online. Jasmine does not have access to that account; I have access to it. I am the signatory to the account and my father’s next of kin.”
Daniel also disclosed that Stella Maris is his stepmother and refrained from providing further details about his mother.
