Katsina Police Arrest 50 Suspected Hoodlums After Protest Violence

Katsina — The Katsina State Police Command has arrested at least 50 individuals suspected of being involved in violent incidents during the recent protest in the state. The police reported on Thursday that these suspects are believed to have hijacked the protest, leading to unrest and violence.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Sadiq, confirmed that the situation in Katsina is now relatively calm as the authorities have managed to contain the disturbances.

“No loss of life was recorded; however, 50 suspected miscreants/hoodlums were arrested,” Sadiq stated. “Investigation is currently ongoing, and security arrangements have been reinforced to ensure continued peace and order.”

The arrests follow a series of violent incidents linked to the protest, prompting the police to enhance their security measures and stabilize the region.
