Participants of the National Broadcast Academy (NBA) 2023 Basic Courses, Batch C, can expect a conducive learning environment to enhance their training experience, according to Dr. Mansur Liman, Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). Dr. Liman’s remarks were delivered by Mr. Danladi Kwache, the Director of the Academy, during the opening ceremony held in Lagos.
Dr. Liman expressed his dissatisfaction with the growing trend of presenters mispronouncing names and stressed the importance of broadcasters conducting thorough research before going on air.
The Coordinator of the Academic Planning Committee and Head of the Department of Presentation, Mr. Segun Akioya, encouraged the trainees to approach their learning with an open mind and attentiveness. He emphasized the comprehensive academic curriculum provided by the Academy and the diligence and discipline required to succeed in the program.
Mr. Lanre Odukoya, Head of the Department of ICT, urged students to complete their online registration to access their results at the program’s conclusion.
Mrs. Grace Oluwayemi, the Acting Registrar, represented by Mrs. Anthonia Enwose, advised students to submit their registration forms to establish themselves as legitimate NBA students.
Prince Eugene Duru, Director of Physical Planning, emphasized the importance of proper hygiene and responsible use of school facilities.
Ms. Sylvia Roli-Atche, Interim President of the NBA Alumni, encouraged students to initiate their search for internships and seek assistance from the school’s Alumni liaison office.
The ceremony was attended by heads of various departments and lecturers.
