Record-Breaking Solar Farm Unveiled, Set to Power Thousands of Homes

Six individuals were injured as a result of a petroleum tanker explosion at Sandaji Filling Station in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The incident occurred around noon when the tanker was discharging its cargo at the station on Jos Road in Lafia.

According to Comfort Igwe, a pump attendant at the station, it took the combined efforts of the fire service, Red Cross Society, police, and other security agencies to extinguish the fire and restore normalcy to the area. The explosion also caused significant damage to property valued at millions of naira at the filling station.

Several employees of the filling station and officials from the Nasarawa State Fire Service sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia. Mr. Ombugu Joshua, the Acting Director of the Nasarawa State Fire Service, stated that the cause of the incident had not been determined and urged residents to promptly report any fire outbreaks to the fire service for swift response.
