The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reconstituted the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as the new chairman.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who was initially named to lead the committee, has been reassigned to the position of treasurer.
In a further shake-up, the ruling party expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 members, a move aimed at accommodating more party stakeholders and interests.
New members added to the committee include Senator Barry Mpigi and other prominent APC chieftains.
According to the party, the restructuring forms part of the revised 2026 APC National Convention Central Coordination Committee and was carried out to reflect zoning considerations and other strategic exigencies ahead of the convention.
