Asari Dokubo Meets President Tinubu for Consultations on Niger Delta Issues

President Bola Tinubu engaged in a consultative meeting on Friday afternoon with Alhaji Asari Dokubo, the leader of the defunct Niger Delta Volunteer Force (NDVF), at the State House in Abuja. Since assuming office, President Tinubu has been actively engaging with various stakeholders and government officials across the country, including leaders from the Niger Delta region.

Prior to meeting with Asari Dokubo, President Tinubu had held discussions with Timi Alaibe, a former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), among others. During these interactions, the President expressed deep concerns regarding the imperative to put an end to crude oil theft in Nigeria.
