Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has firmly stated that he has no plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) once he leaves office. However, he has pledged his support and willingness to work for the success of President-elect Bola Tinubu as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
During an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show, the governor emphasized his dedication to upholding equity and justice in Nigeria.
Governor Ortom clarified his stance, saying, “Defecting is not on my agenda at the moment. I am a member of the PDP, and I actively supported the idea of a southern presidency, in which both Tinubu and Obi were involved.”
He further expressed his commitment to praying for and supporting Tinubu’s success if he assumes office as the President. While maintaining his position as the leader of the PDP in Benue State, Governor Ortom reiterated his determination to continue working towards achieving fairness and justice in the nation.
