In a significant operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) uncovered a clandestine drug trade within an undisclosed school in Angwan Woje, Lafia Local Government, Nasarawa State. Acting on a tip-off, NDLEA operatives seized ten bags of Cannabis Sativa, totaling 100kg, hidden ingeniously within the school’s ceiling.
The shocking revelation exposed the complicity of the school’s security personnel in facilitating these covert drug transactions. The NDLEA’s swift response led to the arrest of one suspect connected to the crime.
Paul Odaudu, the State Commander of NDLEA, confirmed the successful operation, expressing concern over the involvement of individuals within the school in such illicit activities. He assured the public that the agency remains committed to combating drug-related offenses and securing communities.
This incident raises questions about the extent of drug trafficking networks and the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in uncovering and preventing such activities. The collaboration between NDLEA and the community underscores the importance of community vigilance in addressing the menace of drug abuse and trafficking.
As investigations continue, the NDLEA emphasizes the need for sustained efforts to curb drug-related crimes and urges citizens to report any suspicious activities that could undermine the well-being of communities.
