Olumide Akpata, the immediate-past President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), SAN, has secured victory in the Labour Party (LP) governorship primary election in Edo State. The Electoral Committee announced Akpata as the winner following the exercise held on Friday afternoon in Benin City, the state capital, where he garnered the highest number of votes.
