Oshiomhole Unveils Political Drama: Exposes Plot by Former Governors for His APC Exit

In a startling revelation, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, exposed a clandestine plot orchestrated by former Governors Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), and Salihu Lukman, a former national vice chairman, North-west, to force his removal from the party’s leadership. Oshiomhole detailed the alleged machinations during the launch of “APC and Transition Politics,” a book authored by Salihu Lukman, in Abuja on Tuesday.

The seasoned politician recounted how Lukman, supported by certain governors, spearheaded a campaign to oust him from office, accusing them of resorting to various illicit means to undermine his efforts to establish party supremacy. Oshiomhole revealed that Lukman dismissed his leadership through multiple letters without engaging in direct communication, illustrating a lack of democratic process in his appointment by the governors’ forum.

Describing the hostile atmosphere during a meeting with the governors, Oshiomhole emphasized the undemocratic actions that led to his removal, asserting his unwavering commitment to party principles. The expose sheds light on the internal power struggles within the APC, bringing to the forefront the challenges faced by key figures striving for party integrity and democratic values.
