Umahi, APC Chairman Meet Over Tinubu’s Infrastructure Scorecard

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has met with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, to discuss plans for a formal presentation of President Bola Tinubu’s infrastructure achievements.

The meeting focused on scheduling a session where the Minister would brief the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on ongoing road and bridge projects being executed under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Umahi, during the discussion, commended the APC leadership for introducing a system that allows ministers to appear before the NWC to account for their performance, describing it as a step toward transparency and internal accountability.

He also praised the party leadership for the conduct of recent primaries and what he described as an inclusive process that allowed aspirants to freely contest party tickets.

In response, Yilwatda lauded the progress recorded in the infrastructure sector, noting that Nigerians are already witnessing visible improvements in road construction and rehabilitation across the country.

He added that the NWC would soon invite the Minister to formally present a detailed report on the administration’s achievements, stressing that ongoing projects have already generated public attention through media coverage and on-site developments.

The Minister further assured that the government remains committed to addressing national challenges while sustaining major infrastructure delivery across the country.

After the meeting, Umahi reportedly proceeded to inspect the situation at Eko Bridge as part of his continued oversight of federal infrastructure projects.
